Scratch the idea of going to Sibley on September 30. Let's go to Redwood Regional Park. We're on for Sunday, September 30 at 10:30am at the south entrance off of Redwood Road. Drive till the end of the driveway till you can't drive no more. We'll be there.
Here's the deal.
My wingmen and I went scouting at Sibley today. It was sunny. It was warm. There's a big hill straight out of the gate and there's not a lot of shade at our destination. We saw lots of dogs. My wingmen weren't that excited. And frankly, I'm not feeling it either. It's a great park but maybe not for little legs. Or at least the little legs that I know. It also might be a good Outside Kids choice for March when the hills are green and the heat not so hot.
Redwood Regional Park, on the other hand, is perfect for September.
The trail is wide and relatively flat. There is plenty of shade but sun when you need it. We'll walk up Stream Trail to a bridge and collapse in a small meadow. We'll shake out all those back-to-school ya yas. I don't know about you, but some time outside would do us some good.
How this whole Outside Kids thing works is over on the About page. New families (and kid-less folks too!) are always welcome.
@ Note! There isn't any cell coverage in the parking lot or park. Do all of your texting and Instagramming at the intersection of Redwood Road and Skyline Boulevard.
